And, as a "scientific" evidence of this fact, a lovely web page in which you can hear the animals' voices in different languages. I'll attach it to the blog as a gadget, besides including the URL now. Hope you enjoy it!

Free Culture.
Finally, I think I have found something worth of sharing, and also relevant for translators, I think. This is a web page, with a suggestive name, Ignoria, as suggestive for me as its contents: free books. Lots of books for free, mainly in Spanish (I have not seen anyone in English, but just review!)
Pages worth of visiting like this one, for they spread culture for free. In my opinion, culture must be a right, and must not be subject to any price. I know many of you would think you will have the right to collect your translator's (author's) rights -if you manage to reach that!-, but I cannot agree with that. Some of you will think it is easy for me now, but don't forget I have worked and created translations for a monthly salary, without receiving any additional compensation -less a royalty!
If you agree with author's rights, it is O.K., of course. But do not visit this page. At least, be coherent with your beliefs. I, myself, prefer to take the example of Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, who left all his works (and translations) in the public domain before he died... although his heirs have not taken some of his works into this consideration.
If you visit Ignoria, enjoy it! If you don't, I do sincerely congratulate for your lack of hypocrisy.
Have a nice day!

Ready...steady... go!
Well, I'm afraid it's going to take longer than expected. I don't really know what to post which could be interesting to read, but I'm trying hard, I tell you!
I've started by posting some pages with the resources I've gathered throughout my life as a translator, but I must say I have more than those already listed. The problem is the organization, as usual. When I was working, I virtually had no time to organize them but I had a powerful ally: my memory. However, memory works at its convenience, this is, if you don't use it, it gets relaxed, and takes long and hard work to put it to work again. So lazy it is... Besides, it's not good to leave it all to memory, because a trouble, a pike of stress, or simply falling in love can ruin the libraries in your head.
Thus, I promise I'll be a good girl and share all the resources I have, so everybody can have access to them.
Free culture is the word!

Introducing the Files.
This blog is created in an attempt to explain how words are unloyal to thoughts and feelings and, at the same time, to show how thoughts and feelings can be mirrored in a bunch of letters.
I will try to show what words are for me, for my work, for my thoughts, for my feelings, and how they change and have changed me throughout my life.
Hope you like this. This is the beginning of...
